Bayreuth is situated 230 km north of Munich, 70 km north of Nuremberg/Nürnberg and 330 km south of Berlin on motorway A9. In order to reach the university you leave motorway A9 (Nürnberg-Berlin) at the exit Bayreuth Süd and follow the signs in the direction "Stadtmitte"/"Universität". After approximately 1 km you can see the university entrance on the left side. Then move into the left lane and immediately turn left into the main entranceto the campus. Follow the main street and then turn right to the parking at the sign Naturwissenschaften II /NW II). Please see the campus map
By bus
Lines 304 and line 306 run between Campus and Market (use bus stop "Verwaltung"). Busfahrplan Bayreuth
By train
Regionalexpress from Nürnberg (every hour, ca. 60 min.). Please board the cars labelled "Bayreuth Hbf", since the cars are separated midway! For a timetable from any European city use the following link. DB Travellers' Service At Bayreuth Central Station you can take a taxi (Universität, Naturwissenschaften II) or you walk to the bus stop on the market place (10 min.). Lines 4 and line 6 run between Campus (stop: "Verwaltung") and Market.
